Hotel Jobs and A Relationship

Hotel Jobs and A Relationship

I recently read an article about couples who both work in the hospitality industry.  A balance in life is always needed, but those of us who have been on the front lines in the 24/7 hospitality business know that the hours can be beyond demanding, and can most certainly take their toll on relationships. According to the article, the hotel and resort industry consists of close to forty thousand companies nationally, that employ approximately two million people.  Many times, both parties in a relationship work in the hospitality business.

There are occasions that a placement/candidate has to move out of state for a position. The fact that this “right person for the job” may have a family or a partner who is also affected by the decision must be taken into account.  As I have mentioned before, hospitality is a “people” industry; however, with apologies to President Lincoln, a hospitality executive search firm is a business of people, by people and for people.

A home is that is stable and comfortable means that a new executive can spend less time and energy worrying about family happiness and safety, and more learning the new job and the tasks at hand.  For each search we do at Bentley Price Associates, our job is to find the ideal candidate who will be a good fit for the position and the property.  Looking out for the candidate is simply a part of what we do.
